Even though the snow is 2 feet deep outside of my house I am warmed up by planning for this spring and summer and all of the great produce we will be delivering to you. Sadly this winter I wasn’t able to deliver citrus like I had hoped, but that has strengthened my resolve to do it next year, and to offer even more produce this year.
We will have, weather permitting, Tomatoes, Apricots, Cherries, Peaches, Melons, Blueberries, Strawberries, Summer Veggies, and some other produce this summer. All of which will be around the same price of the stores, all which will not be just fresh, but within hours of leaving the farm fresh.
This year will be a little different than last year in that I will have a stand, and will be staying at most locations for a couple of hours. Due to that I will be changing some locations from where we met last year to ones that will let me set up my stand.
I am also in the process of buying a car that will be devoted primarily to Your Freshest Food, so I will be easy to find, and I won’t have a different car each week as I did last year.
I will aim at getting each item from the best source, always sustainable and tasty. Local and organic whenever I can. But I am running into a similar problem that Chipotle has ran into. I’m sure most people have heard that Chipotle has stopped serving Caritas at several of their locations due to lack of availability of pork shoulder from farmers who abide by their standards, well, that situation shows a growing problem, or should I say solution. I have felt it while trying to find organic growers, and now they are feeling it, and I”m sure many other companies feel it: there simply isn’t even supply for the demand of ethically grown, wholesome food! And we have you to thank for this.
Again, thank you for a great 2014 year and 2015 will be even better!
