To accomplish this goal many changes are needed from what we did last year. First off, Your Freshest Food will be opening stands in several cities that will open for several hours on a select day bi-weekly. We will let you know via facebook, twitter, google+ and our website. We will also have printed calendars for you. Secondly, we will work on expanding our customer base, which we will need your help with, by so doing our already low prices can even be lower. But we will need a lot of demand to offer this. And last off, we have to be accessible.
Last year our model of short stops wasn’t accessible for many people, wasn’t very easy, and no doubt didn’t work for most and that is why we will keep our stands open for a several hours in 2015 but in order to do this, we are changing our guarantee delivery time from 48 hours to 72 hours. Although most food will have left the farm within 48 hours when it is handed to you, occasionally it will be over that. By doing this many more people will be able to enjoy what is still the freshest food on the market.
The produce that you buy off of the store shelve is usually a week or two old at least. Most produce isn’t picked fresh, and is artificially ripened. We will still always buy our food fresh, and we will always have it to you in less than half of the time that grocery stores deliver theirs to you. 72 hours is still excellent time for you to receive your produce.
I mentioned that I would like people, even those that are from the lower middle class or below that to enjoy good food. I come from a lower middle class family, I personally know the difficulties in such families receiving good food, from that of pricing of food, and that they often do no have the time to shop for good food, prepare it, or know where to find it. Having a stand where we will be able to serve more people for longer amounts of time will help these families have access to us. Not only that, with increased demand we will be able to lower prices to that which may fit within these folk’s budget.
